The realization of the project “Right to Work for Everyone” began on April 1st, 2019 in the Mitrovica region. The project was financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and supported by the Danish Refugee Council. The project is implemented by the non-governmental organization Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse. The goal of the project “Right to Work for Everyone” is to provide equal opportunities for education and employment of members of marginalized social groups living in the Mitrovica region. The realization of the project will contribute to the empowerment of Roma population as well as members of other marginalized groups in this area.
Marginalized categories of citizens do not have equal opportunities for development and progress in society. Most of the Roma people are at a low educational level. This is characterized by long-term exclusion from the labor market. Roma people represent the category with the highest risk of social exclusion. Additional educational programs and specialized trainings for marginalized social groups in this region are organized occasionally. These programs do not provide continuous education and training for work.

During the lifetime of the project, the Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse will organize the following specialized courses: a course of woodworking and plastics that includes theoretical and practical part; marketing and accounting course; course for writing CV and motivation letters; life skills training that include English language training and computer training. By the end of the project, twenty students will finish the course of wood and plastic processing. The course of marketing and accounting will be completed by other twenty participants.
