During May 2019, the team of non-governmental organization Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse, conducted a promotional campaign within the project “Right to Work for Everyone“. The project was promoted in Roma Mahala, Mikronaselje and Hotel No. 3 located in Zvečan. During the promotion, citizens were informed about the programs that will be organized within the project, as well as on the ways of applying for participation in the planned activities. Interested citizens were provided with contact telephones numbers of the staff involved in the project, which they can call if they need additional information. The programs to be organized are intended for members of the Roma national minority as well as members of other marginalized groups from the territory of the North of Kosovo.
Citizens can also optain information relating to the project and program at the premises of the non-governmental organization Inspiration located in the Roma Mahala and in the premises of the non-governmental organization Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse. During the promotion, the interested candidates filled in a questionnaire containing questions about the educational level and the socio-economic status of the candidates. The information obtained from the questionnaire was used to select the candidates who will attend the courses. The first two courses to be organized are occupational safety and environmental protection. After that follow the courses of plastics and wood processing, the course of accounting and the course of marketing and, ultimately, the courses in the field of life skills training.
The launch of the program is June 6, 2019. The courses will be organized at the premises of the Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse and the premises of the Social Enterprise “Veza” at the address Drvarska br. 4, North Mitrovica.
The project “Right to Work for Everyone” was funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and supported by the Danish Refugee Council. The goal of the project is to provide equal opportunities for education and employment of members of marginalized social groups living in the Mitrovica region.
