The project “Save the Planet for Youth” aims to raise awareness of citizens living in Northern Kosovo about the importance of environment protection and its implications on welfare state. Center for Lifelong Learning Lighthouse is implementing the project in cooperation with the Free Time Center Zvečan and Free Time Center Zubin Potok. The project implementation is supported by Balkan Green Foundation and Institute for Development Policy, through the “Empower – Engage – Build Ownership” program funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo.

We did not inherit the planet from our ancestors, but we borrowed it from our descendants

Through educative workshops on environment protection and examples of the world best eco-friendly practices, the youth living in this area will be in a position to come up with their own ideas of what interventions and behavioral changes are needed in their own living environment. On such grounds, supported by the Free Time Center lecturers, they will impact awareness rising of the overall population in Northern Kosovo, through campaigning activities and development and distribution of Ecologic Handbook for Parents.
